Split
Option to divide a VisualARQ object vertically into different parts using points or curves as cutters.
This command is only available for the following objects: walls, curtain walls, beams, railings and slabs. Each object can be cut by points or curves depending on its type:
- By points: walls, curtain walls, beams and railings.
- By curves: walls, curtain walls, beams, railings and slabs.
When you run the vaSplit command, follow the steps from the command line. Press the right mouse button or ENTER to accept and go to the next step.
Steps:
- By point:
- Select the objects to split.
- Select the Point option in the command line.
- Define the points where you wish to split the object. These points are always situated along the baseline of the object to split.
- By curve:
- Select the objectsto split.
- Choose the curves that will perform as cutters.
The objects will be split by the curves using the "Apparent Intersections". That means that they will split in relation to the view. Objects do not need to intersect with the curves in 3-D space. The cut will be done where the curve and the object baseline (or contour, in case of slabs) appear to intersect in the active viewport.
After the objects have been split, each resulting part can be edited and modified independently.
